It's World Compliment Day!

Have I told you how good you look today? Because you do! 

 

That, my friends, is a compliment. Why am I giving out compliments to random people today? Because today is World Compliment Day! Now, it's not unusual for me to randomly compliment people on a regular basis. It gives the person a little boost, and it costs nothing to make someone's day a little brighter.

 

If you are someone who doesn't usually talk to strangers, today is a good day to tell someone you like their shirt. Maybe tastefully compliment their hair. If they're wearing a cool pair of shoes, maybe say, "Great kicks!" and give a thumbs up as you pass. 

 

If you're complimenting someone you know, maybe go a little deeper. Try telling them that you love the way they always look on the bright side. Or if they made a meal for you, make sure to tell them how good it is and how much you appreciate it. Or maybe you like the corny jokes they always tell. In that case, tell them you appreciate their sense of humor.
