The Year(s) Of The Gamer

I tend to gather a lot of geeky treasures of various types (to the strained moans of my bookshelves and garage). One of the few bucket-list items I've considered collecting has been all the comic books that released the month I was born. (I recall that I found the two most significant #1 issues that came out my birth month, but neither set the world on fire and they were only a few bucks each.)

However, it occurs to me that it's more than possible to extend this into the gaming world.

What game came out the year you were born? Are you a 1971 Gnip Gnop baby? Was 1986's Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine Game on the gaming table when you arrived? Are you a fully grown adult who was born the same year as Pandemic and oh my gawd Pandemic is 18+ years old?!?

Anyway, if you're looking for a personal blast from the past and maybe a way to spend your next birthday celebration, a game from your birth year may be an intriguing possibility. (You might even use our own humble list of releases by date.) If you do give this a shot, I'd love to hear about it!
