Home . . . And Back Out . . .

Worldcon was survived. Fun was had. The Chaos Machine entertained many, many people and moved many, many, many balls. Although, truth be told, it did drop some on the floor. As it does. Huge thanks to Jerome Scott of LAcon V for inviting me and the Machine, and bulldozing many obstacles to make it happen; to our own James Holder for shipment wrangling; and to Malcolm Kudra, Chaos engineer extraordinaire, for everything he did to get the Machine sorted out after its long hiatus and on its way to Anaheim.

I wish the photo below was a Moving Picture. Yes, the big gears turn! I will see about getting some video posted.

I got to catch up with old friends. It was great to see Phil and Kaja Foglio, and I picked up the limited hardback collection of XXXenophile. (Go here, and click the SHOP HERE button, but be aware that all these links are dramatically unsafe for work.)  Howard Tayler stopped by the Machine several times to visit, even when, as he admitted, he should have been elsewhere doing else-stuff. (Like me, he's quite addicted to raising little yellow balls in the air slooooooowly and then speeding them quickly down the track.) The art show had so many Kelly Freas originals that it was a tiny bit like seeing him again (sigh). And I made some new friends, I do believe, and I'll try to show you some of their work before long.

The catch to all this good stuff? Well, it's not an actual catch, but it IS a "no rest for the wicked" situation, because Dragon Con starts today and that's where I'll be through Monday. And I'll be premiering a new game there. Not a SJ Games release, but a limited edition to benefit the Dragon Con charity. More on that soon when I have photos to show you.
