From The Editor Retail Liaison

Greetings dear readers!
 

For a few of you, this may be a familiar salutation – but there's no need to check your browser or change that channel. This is indeed your ever-faithful Daily Illuminator. Rather, it is I who have found a new home among the fantastic team here at Steve Jackson Games.

Truth be told, I've been here for almost 2 months, but in classic "me" fashion, I've jumped right into the work. "What work?" you may wonder. Well, I am now the retail liaison here at Steve Jackson Games, and that means I'll be interfacing with friendly local game stores in a variety of ways to learn how we may better anticipate their needs and partner with them.

In a way, it's not terribly different from my last gig as editor at Game Trade Magazine (GTM). While the primary focus for GTM was consumer-facing, retailers were often at the forefront of our minds as we assembled content from our many contributors. I aim to bring a lot of that same energy and creativity to this new role, and I look forward to working closely with stores in the weeks and months ahead.
