Exercises For Waiting: Feet

In a recent post, I mentioned that I had to wait without a book or phone, which is also something I've had to do at the gaming table between turns when other players have a lot of steps to get through on their turn. If I'm not exercising my hands, I sometimes perform foot exercises while I wait. They help keep my feet and legs from getting cramped or achy.

Here's a series of five exercises for toes and feet that are simple to do while seated. Although they are easier with bare feet or only socks on, the last three exercises can be done in shoes. I've also done ankle rolls (lift one foot off the floor; roll it first one way and then the other for several seconds in each direction).

Now when you're gaming, even if you're cruising to an easy victory, you can still be graceful in defeat.
