A Holotype Deal In Warehouse 23
In an Illuminator here, I wrote about Holotype, a game which I enjoyed very much. Long story short, it's a worker-placement game about digging fossils and doing dinosaur science. All the game mechanics fit together very nicely and it's a lot of fun.
(And here, I offered some optional rules to give each scientist a special ability.)
At any rate, I was sorry to learn that Brexwerx, the publisher of Holotype, was going out of business. The founders had concluded that this was not a good environment in which to start a business. I can't argue.
At the same time, I think that Holotype is an awesome game, and I was unhappy to think of its going out of print so soon. After discussion with the folks at Brexwerx, we bought some inventory and we're doing a Warehouse 23 deal.
For $44.50, you get the basic game and three expansions – one big one, two card sets. That's half of the original retail price. It was a good deal at that original price.
If you are a dinosaur nut (or know one who needs a present), this is for you.
