Twitch Users Beware
Amazon is appropriating the content created by Twitch users to train AI, unless they go through a fairly complex process to opt out. That is, if they really can opt out.
Here's a BBC story that describes the situation and how to opt out through settings. But warning . . . some users have found that the AI spy turns itself back on. You should go back and check after you first opt out. Then check again regularly.
The BBC quoted Twitch's chief product officer, Mike Minton, as saying "If it's opt-in, nobody would opt-in. That's the honest answer."
I would suggest that that may be a forthright answer, but not an honest one. There's no honesty there anywhere.
