Sit, Uno, Sit . . . Good Dog

I can't control what my brain thinks. So when my cranial clump suddenly came up with the question of "What game names would also make good names for pets?" . . . well, what choice do I have but to share with you?

Then I imagined a cat christened Jenga, a ferret named after Scrabble, and – of course – any diminutive critter called Munchkin. I think a raven might even appreciate being bestowed the name Illuminati.

Personally, I tend to most associate pet names with what can I comfortably shout out when they're being naughty. I can see me yelling "Hacker!" from across the room, or beseeching Ogre not to make another mess.

If you have your own favorite game that's perfect to call a pet, I'd love to hear about it on the forums or privately – and that goes double if you actually did name your pet after a game. In the meantime, I need to go feed Gelatinous again today and ask if he knows what happened to the other fish . . .
