GURPS At Gen Con

This Gen Con, a group of GURPS Game Masters did something very special . . . and I'll let them tell you all about it!

I got back from Gen Con 2026 last week as part of the Nick and Nose World Tour – a group of inclusive, energetic Game Masters (what's the collective noun for a group of GMs?) dedicated to bringing the best in GURPS Fourth Edition roleplaying to the Gen Con crowd. This was our second year doing this as an organized play group.

I'm pretty stoked about our efforts: Over the course of 4 days, we ran 15 GURPS sessions plus a seminar on how to use the Foundry VTT to run GURPS online. In all, we ran 371 player hours of GURPS Fourth Edition, in scenarios ranging from cyberpunk, high fantasy, sci-fi, "youths on wheeled devices", survival horror, old west, and more. There was only one of the core Gen Con hours when there wasn't a GURPS game being run.

We had a great time running the games, and received very positive feedback from our players. We even introduced a number of new players to the GURPS system. We want to send a big "Thank you!" to all of our players – you're the reason we're doing this!

We can't wait to see you next year! And who knows, you may see us sooner at another convention!

Thank you all so much, both for your efforts at Gen Con, and for your tireless work in maintaining the GURPS Foundry VTT module!
