2025 Crowdfunding: A Year Of Books And RPGs!
It's the beginning of the year, and you know what that means . . . a sickeningly large number of posts and social media reflecting on last year!
But seriously, in so many ways, 2025 never had a dull moment, and it's nice to step back to reflect on some of the great things we achieved last year. As Crowdfunding Manager, I've learned that each campaign can be wildly different from the last, especially considering the depth of Steve Jackson Games' publishing and crowdfunding history. Last year was somewhat different than others, as each project shared a common theme that I only began to appreciate once I took that aforementioned step back.
Not only was Toon Second Edition our 100th crowdfunded campaign (which is deserving of its own Illuminator), it also capped off 2025 as the final entry in a string of crowdfunded books and roleplaying games. As I mentioned earlier, we have a history of offering a variety of products, including roleplaying games, card and tabletop games, miniatures, STLs, and more. Overall, we ended up with a strong string of seven back-to-back crowdfunding campaigns that were either books or RPGs, and I think that's pretty awesome.
As much fun as we've had, we couldn't do it without you, and your support means so much to us . . . and it made for a pretty spectacular year! I'm looking forward to the great things we have planned for 2026.
