Fun With Science

I've got a double feature for you today with two topics that are cool things happening in science.

The first is an experiment that happened in space. Steve Mould, who I had surprisingly never encountered before, has a lot of content about how strange chains are. In this video, he gets to interact with an astronaut on the International Space Station and test out ideas about how chains act in zero G. They only had a brief amount of time because of satellite location and orbits, but they do a lot of interesting things.

The second video is the practical application of science. One of the classic nerd jokes is that as kids, we all thought there'd be flying cars by now. It looks like we may finally be getting there! A company in Europe has designed a single-seat VTOL vehicle, and they've posted videos about the development process. Check out this exhibition that Jetson put on at an air show.
